Exploring the invisible, the microscopic, and the unseen, On the Life-History of Spirillum brings together the experimental practices of Elif Cadoux, Lucía Cozzi, Weather Citizen x caitlin c. harvey, Maya Davis, Taeyoon Choi, Natasha Viosna Moody, Sam Seurynck, and Daniel Sharp. Through sculpture, moving image, sound, performance, and archival interventions, this international group of artists explore forms of life, knowledge and interdependence that reconsider and extend beyond human perception.
Organized on the occasion of Imbolc 2026, an annual interdisciplinary arts festival exploring contemporary relationships to nature through the lens of Celtic mythological tradition. This exhibition was one of fifteen activations, interventions, and performances presented across six venues in Detroit from January 29–February 2. Over fifty artists participated across the weekend in this entirely artist-led and volunteer-run endeavor.
